QUICK TIP: To keep your handcrafted dress from looking the a handmade mess, start by using natural fabrics. Starting with your dress, if you stick to natural fibers, like cotton, silk, and chiffon, your couture masterpiece is far more likely to look tasteful and purposeful, than like something that Bjork might have worn to the Oscars!

Now I know that we've all been beat over the head recently with the whole "green" thing, and thankfully it's looking like it's here to stay. We've successfully worked new words like "earth friendly", "eco chic", and "green" into our daily dialogue, and I've decided that it's time to add an old word back into the mix, and it's "vintage". One of the best tools that we have against waste is the ability to reuse, and that's the name of the game when it comes to vintage finds. After a long, and absolutely gorgeous summer out here in the Pacific Northwest, I'm finally accepting that it's time to put away the flip-flops and settle into the Fall!! This color palette is not only great for a cozy event setting, but it would be spectacular in your dining room as well! These warm and inviting colors will stimulate your quests appetite and open up the conversation. Cool colors like blue and gray will decrease your appetite and make you more quiet and tranquil, which makes it the perfect pallet for a bedroom or bathroom.
